Looking at Island Peak and Mera Peak or Larkaya Peak, you can say they are old trekking peaks which lie in the central land lands of the Everest Region and the Manaslu Region, respectively, compared to Chekigo Peak; however, when you are climbing Chekigo Peak, you will also be close to the Rolwaling Valley, that is, between the Everest Region and the Manaslu Region. Therefore, this climb’s starting point is far from the starting point of Island Peak and Mera Peak. This is because Island Peak and Mera Peak are the famous trekking peaks of the Everest Region, and so is Larkaya Peak of the Manaslu Region that the trekkers and the climbers head to every year, but only a few trekkers and climbers head to Chekigo Peak for climbing; this is the reason, why the trekking trail of Chekigo Peak is off the beaten.
Another difference is that Chekigo Peak Climbing is a challenging climb you would like to do in Nepal because you want to go above the satisfaction you would get from Island Peak Climbing, Mera Peak, or Larkaya Peak. To summit Chekigo Peak, you would take nine long days to summit a trekking Peak in Nepal. On the climbing route, there are snow, ice, and rock. During the Chekigo Trek, most parts of the trekking trail run in the Rolwaling Valley. From the trekking trail, you will see the breath-taking view of Annapurna, Lamjung, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Shishapanga, Langtang, Dorjee Lakpa, Jugal Himal, and Gauri Shanker mountains.
