The first thing that you should know is Cholo Peak is a trekking peak. That means it is a peak which can be climbed within two days, and the height of the trekking peak usually ranges to 6000 m plus. This mountain is not a killer mountain; it has no avalanches. Cholo Peak Climbing, where do you think it will take place. To tell you, it takes place in the heart of the Everest Region. During Cholo Peak Trek or Cholo Peak Climbing, it is time to enjoy what your food will be, what your accommodation will be, how your trekking trails will be, and last but not least, how your climbing route will be.
One of the best things about climbing Cholo Peak is that you will only be the climber on this peak, and there will be no others. It is rarely mounted because it is a technical peak. Cholo Peak is one of the main parts of Abi Himal. In Nepali, himal means highland or mountain. If you want to climb Cholo Peak, you will be in the region home to the world’s tallest mountain. Cholo Trekking is one of the best trekking in Nepal, while the summit of Cholo shows you a 360-degree view of the remote mountains of the Everest Region, including the North and South Col of Mount Everest. Day 01 Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (standard accommodation)
Arrive in Kathmandu on the date that you have planned for or at the most suitable time you have decided. Stay calm about the pick-up; we will wait for you outside the airport to take you to our office and the hotel. Our office remains open from 9 A.M. to 6 P.M. Kathmandu is known as the city of temples, and it is the most developed city in Nepal as we write these words in this itinerary. You will be staying in Thamel, the central tourist hub in Kathmandu. If you stay in a 5-star hotel, it will be outside Thamel.
Day 02 Sightseeing with breakfast and climbing preparations (standard accommodation)
Kathmandu is dotted with world heritage sites, and the most famous of them are mentioned below

★ Bouddhanath
★ Kathmandu Durbar Square
You will visit each of these with our city guide, and they will take you to the past. Those were the glorious days of Nepal. Day 03 Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and Trek to Phakding (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
A short scenic flight of 35 minutes shows you the bird’s eye view of the mountains. After that, you will probably catch an early flight to Lukla, the starting point of the Everest Trek. From Lukla, you will head to Phakding, one of the villages of the Sherpa people, located at the edge of the Dudh Kosi River Valley. On the way, you will see the stunning view of the mountain called Kusum Kangaru.
Day 04 From Phakding to Namche Bazaar (four square meals provided, standard accommodation)
Today, you are heading to Monjo, the entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park. The trekking trail takes you to the forest of pine a rhododendrons. Although you will walk through small villages, the famous towns are Tok Tok and Jorsale. Before reaching Namche Bazaar, the largest Sherpa village in Nepal, you will cross the suspension bridge. The trekking trail you will follow goes uphill and makes you tired, but when you reach Namche, you will have enough time to relax.
Day 05 Acclimatization Day (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
As Nepal’s largest Sherpa village, Namche also has exciting places to visit. Its Everest View Hotel is not only famous for unbeatable service but also for a viewpoint to see the stunning view of the mountains, such as Everest, Thamserku, Kongdi RI, and Ama Dablam. The Sherpa Culture Museum, Syangboche Airstrip, and the Everest Photo Gallery are other exciting places.
Day 06 From Namche Bazaar to Thame (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
You will trek in the rhododendron and pine forest by the side of the Bhote Koshi River. The villages that you come across are Phurte, Tesho, and Thamo. The downhill trekking trail takes you to the Khumbu Hydroelectric Project Plant, and from there, you head to Thame, the home of the mountaineers.
Day 07 From Thame to Lungden (4 meals provided, tented camp)
The beautiful view of the mountains will make your mind happy, and the uphill trekking trail will take you to Tauranga, Marlung, and the east bank of the Bhote Kosi River. The downhill trekking trail takes you to a narrow valley where you will see different vegetation types and animals. Following this trekking trail, you will reach Lungden.
Day 08 From Lungden to Yak Kharka (4 meals provided, tended camp)
Walking uphill slowly, you will reach the pasture where you see the yaks grazing. From there, you climb higher. Today, you will see the breathtaking views of Cho-Oyu and Mahermo. The camp will be set up on the phedi of the pass, that is, on the base of the pass.
Day 09 Cross the Renjo La to reach Renjo High Camp (4 meals provided, tended camp)
From Renjo La Pass, you will have a great view of Everest, Lhotse, and Taboche, including the Gokyo Lake and the Gokyo Village. To reach the top of the pass, there are boulders and zigzag climbing routes.
Day 10 From Renjo High Camp to Cholo Base Camp (4 meals provided, tended camp)
You will see the stunning views of Cho-Oyu and Cholatse. Then, you will reach the deserted pasture area of yak and climb higher. The base camp of Abi Himal lies near the lake. From there, you will walk the trekking trail on the ridge of the hill to reach Cholo Base Camp.
Day 13- 16 From Base Camp to Cholo High Camp, summit, and to base camp (4 meals provided, tended camp)
High Camp will be set up between two peaks at an altitude of 5000 m. The Sherpas will set up camps at higher altitudes and decide on the climbing route. They will also cook meals for you, and they will also tell you when to acclimatise. Overcoming technical difficulties while climbing the Cholo and weather forecasting are undertaken by the Sherpas.
Day 17 From the base camp to Phortse (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
Today you are walking in the Gokyo Valley, but it will not be between the mountains or hills; you will be walking on the slope of the hill. The tallest mountains you have seen go further and further from your eyes as you head to Phortse.
Day 18 From Phortse to Monjo (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
Today you will see the outstanding views of Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse. You will also once see the stunning scenery of Tawache and Ama Dablam. As you walk, you will see the view of Kantega and Thamserku in front of you. Finally, the downhill trekking trail will take you to Monjo.
Day 19 From Phorte to Lukla (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
You are in the valley and will walk uphill, which takes you to Lukla. Today’s journey is scenic. You will come across many villages.
Day 20 Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu (breakfast provided, standard accommodation)
Once again, it is time to enjoy the mountain aerial view from a plane's window. After landing at the Kathmandu airport, you will be taken to our office or the hotel.
Day 21 Rest Day in Kathmandu (breakfast provided, standard accommodation)
Visit the exciting places in Thamel, and buy souvenirs for your friends and relatives. We have included this day in your itinerary in case your Kathmandu flight gets cancelled due to bad weather in Lukla.
Day 22 Departure (breakfast provided)
Three hours before your international flight, we will come to pick you up at the hotel and take you to Tribhuwan International Airport. So goodbye, and we wish you good luck for a safe journey.
