Dhaulagiri Expedition allows you to climb its summit from different routes, but its northeast ridge route is the most famous one you can follow. During this expedition, you follow the Dhaulagiri Base Camp Trek itinerary, which includes the less crowded area of Nepal that comes under the off-the-beaten trek category, which most trekkers like, according to our client’s feedback. Just like other 8000 m peak expeditions in Nepal, we set up three camps at the altitudes of

★ Camp III (7400 m)

From the base camp, you will see the valley where you have walked through green vegetation, and you will also see the vertical wall of the mountain standing in front of you at a distance. Day 03 From Kathmandu to Pokhara and Beni (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, is where you have to spend your night; from there, you head to Pokhara, the city of lakes. As you head to Pokhara, you are on the Pirthivi Highway and by the Trishuli River, a famous river for rafting in Nepal. Prithvi Narayan Shah was a King who played a significant role in the unification of Nepal. On the way to Beni, you will come across beautiful nature. Beni lies at the confluence of the Myagdi Khola and the Kali Gandaki RiveRiversay 04 From Beni to Babiachor (4 meals provided, tented camp)
Today is the first day of your trek, and you start it by walking on the bank of the Myagdi Khola. The villages that you reach are Mangalghat, Singa, and Tatopani. Tatopani means hot water in Nepali, but if you try to understand its deeper meaning, it means hot spring here. There are many small villages on the way, and there are also bridges. From the town called Simalchour, you trek further to reach Babichor.
Day 05 From Babichaur to Dharapani (4 meals provided, tented camp)
Today, you are in a valley, and it becomes wider and wider as you trek further. You are by the river, and on both sides of it, there are terraced fields. The trekking trail is relatively easy, and the villages you arrive on the way are Shahashradhara and Ratorunga, and the river you cross is the Duk Khola. As you are nearing Dharapani, the wide valley becomes narrow again.
Day 06 From Dharapani to Muri (4 meals provided, tented camp)
Today you will walk uphill and downhill in the forest, through small villages and cross suspension bridges. Sometimes, this uphill becomes a gentle uphill that is easy to walk and takes you from the river bank to the terraced fields and to the ridge from where you can see the trails you have walked. Finally, the steady path you follow takes you to Muri, one of the villages of the Magar people, which can also be referred to as the best place to see the view of the Dhaulagiri Ranges.
Day 07 From Muri to Baghara (4 meals provided, tented camp)
Today’s trek is easy because it starts with a descending trekking trail, but it takes you to a rocky area, where the stream flows and to the scenic place, where there are passes and terraced fields. Later, the trail becomes steep, winds, and takes you to the Myagdi Khola, where the gorge is visible, including the forest.
Day 08 From Baghara to Dobang (4 meals provided, tented camp)
Today the uphill and the downhill trekking trails make you tired, and you accept it from both your heart and mind because there is no other way to reach Dobang; this is part of the trekking.
Day 09 Trek from Dobang to Sallaghari (4 meals provided, tented camp)
Walking an easy trekking trail, you reach the rhododendron, bamboo, and pine forest. However, the same trekking trail becomes problematic as it turns into a steep one. This steep trail goes uphill and downhill before taking you to Sallaghari.
Day 10 From Sallaghari to the Italian Base Camp (4 meals provided, tented camp)
Rocky hills surround the Italian Base Camp, and behind one of these hills, there is Dhaulagiri.
Day 11 From the Italian Base Camp to the Dhaulagiri Base Camp (4 meals provided, tented camp)
Walking between the rocky valleys of the snow-covered mountains, you ascend higher to the Dhaulagiri Base Camp. There is a vertical rock wall, and the Sherpas will set up camps near it.
Day 12 - Day 44 Climbing of Dhaulagiri and descending to the base camp (4 meals provided, tented camp)
The Sherpas will set up camps at higher altitudes and decide on the climbing route. They will also cook meals for you, and they will also tell you when to acclimatise. The Sherpas undertake to overcome technical difficulties while climbing the Dhaulagiri and weather forecasting. When you reach the summit, you will spend a short time there. The summit offers the best view of the Annapurna massifs and the other parts of the Dhaulagiri Ranges. From the summit, you will retrace the climbing route.
Day 45 Cleaning of the base camp (4 meals provided, tented camp)
The Sherpas will clean the base camp.
Day 46 From the Dhaulagiri Base Camp to Yak Kharka (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
The Sherpas will pack up the climbing equipment, and from the base camp, you head to the French Pass, the Hidden Valley, Dhampus, and Yak Kharka. Unfortunately, the Rocky Mountains also surround Yak Kharka. As a result, you see little vegetation in and around you.
Day 47 From Yak Kharka to Marpha (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
Marpha is bigger than Yak Kharka. It has many restaurants. Therein, the streets are narrow. Marpha is famous for apples, and you can have items made from pie, brandy, and pickles.
Day 48 From Marpha to Pokhara (breakfast and lunch provided, standard accommodation)
Drive from Marpha to Pokhara on a bus. At Pokhara, you spend a night in the hotel by the lake, where you can see a magnificent view of Fishtail Mountain.
