For an aspiring trekker who wants to cross the limit, what could be better than the Everest Base Camp Trek that has all the elements they want in a remote region, far off from home, at the height of 5380 m? The trekking trail from Lukla to the Everest Base Camp is so well established that you will always know exactly where you are heading. Everest Base Camp Trek guarantees results because it always shows you more views of the world’s most beautiful mountains than you can expect, including Everest, whose altitude ranges from 8848 m. It features the best scene of the Himalayas till your heart is content in the world’s most accessible remote region that you can reach on foot or by helicopter. With this view comes altitude mountain sickness, but you may be one who will be free from it. Before doing the Everest Base Camp Trekking, keep some extra days in your hand to tackle the flight delays in Lukla or Kathmandu due to the lousy mountain weather.
It is an appropriate means to meet your trekking desire that tests your walking ability and creates every opportunity to mingle with natural beauty. From a stone’s throw distance, you will see the stunning view of the world’s three highest mountains, such as Cho Oyu, Lhotse, and Makalu, including Everest. Something about the Sagarmatha National Park.
This is the park where you will be trekking, and it comes under the category of a World Heritage site. It is famous for its Dudh Kosi River, lakes, rugged terrain, gorges, forested temperate zone, and sub-alpine zone. The famous mountains here are above 6000 m: Thamserku, Nuptse, Amadablam, and Pumori. Kalapathar is the best viewpoint in the Everest Region Because it shows the close-up view of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Changtse. How do I prepare for the Everest Base Camp Trek First, you must be physically fit to walk up to the altitude of 500lus. For this, we recommend you go jogging for one month. From Lukla, you will head to Phakding, one of the Sherpa villages at the edge of the Dudh Kosi River Valley. On the way, you will see the stunning view of the mountain called Kusum Kangaru.
Day 04 From Phakding to Namche Bazaar (four square meals provided, standard accommodation)
Today, you are heading to Monjo, the entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park. The trekking trail takes you to the forest of pine and rhododendrons. Although you will walk through small villages, the famous ones are Tok Tok and Jorsale. Before reaching Namche Bazaar, the largest Sherpa village in Nepal, you will cross the suspension bridge. The trekking trail you will follow goes uphill and makes you tired, but when you reach Namche, you will have enough time to relax.
Day 05 Acclimatization Day (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
As Nepal’s largest Sherpa village, Namche also has exciting places to visit. Its Everest View Hotel is not only famous for unbeatable service but also for a viewpoint from where you can see stunning views of the mountains, such as Everest, Thamserku, Kongdi RI, and Ama Dablam. In addition, the Sherpa Culture Museum, Syangboche Airstrip, and Everest Photo Gallery are on the list you want to visit.
Day 06 From Namche to Tengboche (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
If Namche is the largest Sherpa village in Nepal, then Tengboche is the best spiritual place for Buddhists, including non-Buddhists. Its monastery is famous all over Nepal. Your trek will be incomplete if you do not visit this monastery. To reach Tengboche, you must walk uphill in the forest with small villages and pastures. As you walk the trekking trail, the view of the mountains keeps on coming to your eyes, especially that of Ama Dablam. In addition, you will also see the exceptional view of Everest that will trace to your mind.
Day 07 From Tengboche to Dingboche (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
As you trek from Tengboche to Dingboche, you will come across suspension bridges, not two, but many. Many small Sherpa villages are on the way; the famous ones are Pangboche and Orsho. The trekking trail passes by mani walls, and colourful prayer flags flutter in the Himalayan breeze. As you reach Dingboche, you will enjoy the lovely view of Everest.
Day 08 Acclimatization Day (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
During acclimatisation in Namche, you visited its exciting places. You can do the same in Dingboche by hiking up NagarHillhill. From the top of the hill, you will see the spectacular view of Imja Valley, including the mountains, such as Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Everest. Ama Dablam, that you see, is the world’s most beautiful mountain.
Day 09 From Dingboche to Lobuche (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
You are heading to the higher altitudes, and you will notice changes in the geographical features as you come across the snowy region and shrub plants. Still, the view of the mountains, such as Lingtern, Pumori, and Khumbutse, will blow your mind. The villages you come across are small and have fewer villagers. Compared to Dingboche, Lobuche is small, and Lobuche Peak is famous worldwide. This is the only village where you spend your night by peak.
Day 10 From Lobuche to Gorakshep and Everest Base Camp (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
Today, you are heading to the base of Everest you have always dreamt of. But first, you have to reach Gorakshep, which used to be the base camp for Everest climbers. You can call this village the last Everest Base Camp Trek village. As you head to the base camp, you will walk by the Khumbu Glacier. When you reach there, you will see the Khumbu Icefall. Unfortunately, no tea houses are on the base camp; therefore, you must return to Gorakshep to spend the night.
Day 11 From Gorakshep to Kala Patthar and Pheriche (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
Before dawn, you begin to trek from Gorakshep to Kalapathar, a perfect viewpoint to see the view of the mountains that will stay permanently with you. The sunrise on EverPeakpeak is so alluring that you want to capture it with your camera. It is an uphill walk to Kalapathar, which is exhausting, but the downhill walk to Pheriche turns the tired journey into a soothing one.
Day 12 From Pheriche to Namche (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
Walking downhill is more accessible than walking uphill, and you can experience this as you reach several villages. First, you will walk by the Imja Khola, a river, and again, you will go to Tengboche, Phungki Thanka, and Kyangjuma. Finally, from the area of shrub plants, you once again reach the forest of pine rhododendrons, but what is consistent is the view of the snow-covered mountains.
Day 13 From Namche to Lukla (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
As you head to Lukla, you will again see the colourful Buddhist prayer flags and come across chortens, mani walls, and gompas. Crossing the suspension bridges over the glaciated Dudh Kosi River reminds you of the beginning of your Everest journey. Finally, from Cheplung, you will head to Lukla.
