Climbing Mount Himlung is fulfilling your enthusiastic and adventurous dream through the expedition of 7000 m plus peak in a remote location of western Nepal. Compared to other 7000 m peaks, Himlung is new because it was recently opened for mountaineers. The year was 1992. Even the trekking trail from Manang to Phu Gaon, a village, is unique. Of all the peaks, Mount Himlung is technically accessible. The eleven-day expedition or climb shows you the spectacular view of Api Himal, Kappa Chuli Peak, and Nandadevi. The normal route to reach the summit of Mount Himlung is the South West Route. However, four camps are set up at these altitudes before you reach the summit.

Day 01 Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (standard accommodation)
Arrive in Kathmandu on the date that you have planned for or at the most suitable time you have decided. Stay calm about the pick-up; we will wait for you outside the airport to take you to our office and the hotel. Our office remains open from 9 A.M. to 6 P.M. Kathmandu is known as the city of temples, and it is the most developed city in Nepal as we write these words in this itinerary. You will be staying in Thamel, the central tourist hub in Kathmandu. If you stay in a 5-star hotel, it will be outside Thamel.
Day 02 Sightseeing with breakfast and climbing preparation (standard accommodation)
Kathmandu is dotted with world heritage sites, and the most famous of them are mentioned below

★ Kathmandu Durbar Square
You will visit each of these with our city guide, and they will take you to the past. Those were the glorious days of Nepal. Day 03 Drive from Kathmandu to Chamje (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
The vehicle you are travelling goes by the Trsihuli River and the Marsyangdi River and takes you to famous villages, such as Besisahar and Dumre. The highway has many curves; you are on the hills, sometimes in the valleys. A few years ago, Besisahar was the starting point of the trek, but now Chamje is.
Day 04 From Chamje to Dharapani (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
Today is the first day of your trek. The trekking trail is comprised of suspension bridges. It takes you uphill to a village called Sattale in a narrow valley. Walking further, you reach a town called Tal in the Manang district. To go to Bagarchap, you must first get to the village called Dharapani.
Day 05 From Dharapani to Koto (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
You will find the trekking trail easy so you can label the route as moderate. However, the course goes uphill and becomes scenic. It takes you to the dense forest of fir and pine. You will find it connective when it takes you to villages such as Bagarchap and Timing. Timing becomes no less than other villages when it shows you the stunning view of Lamjung Himal. The trail that you are going to follow takes you to the region, which is flat, and then you descend to Thanchok and Koto.
Day 06 From Koto to Singenge (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
The trekking trail descends, then takes you to a suspension bridge over the Naar Phu Khola, a river. Next, the trekking trail goes uphill from the suspension bridge, reaching the Seti Khola River. Next, the trekking trail becomes steeper as it takes you to the gorge and canyon. A wooden bridge is on the way, from where you climb uphill to Singenge.
Day 07 From Singenge to Kyang (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
From Singenge, follow the trekking trail that will take you to Meta. As you pass this “seasonal village”, you see the stunning view of Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal. The ongoing trekking trail takes you to the slope of the hill, including Junam Goth. Then, it goes uphill for a short distance and descends to the Murju Khola, a river. The river has a source at the Lyapche Glacier. Finally, a steep trekking trail and moraine are on the way to Kyang.
Day 08 From Kyang to Phu (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
After breakfast, you leave for Phu and follow the trekking trail leading to a narrow gorge descending to the river. You do not cross this river but walk on its bank. The trekking trail goes uphill and falls to a deserted area with abandoned houses and chortens. Before reaching Phu, there is a suspension bridge over the river that you must cross and an uphill trail you must walk.
Day 09 Exploration Day in the Phu Valley (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
Today, you will explore and around Phu. The highlights include Samdu Monastery, Choling Monastery, and Tashi Monastery.
Day 10 From Phu to the Himlung Himal Base Camp (4 meals provided, tented camp)
Today’s trek is short in comparison to others. The trekking trail takes you to an altitude of 4842 meters. This is your campsite; the first camp will be set up here.
Day 11-21 Climbing Himlung Himal and descend to the base camp (4 meals provided, tented camp)
The Sherpas will set up camps at higher altitudes and decide on the climbing route. They will also cook meals for you, and they will also tell you when to acclimatise. The Sherpas undertake to overcome technical difficulties while climbing Himlung and weather forecasting. When you reach the summit, you will spend a short time there. The summit offers the best view of Manaslu and the Annapurna Ranges worldwide. From the summit, you will retrace the climbing route.
Day 22 From the base camp to Phu village (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
Before leaving the base camp, you will clean it and follow the trekking trail that will take you to Phu. You will be following a downhill trekking trail and sometimes uphill.
Day 23 From Phu to Meta (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
You leave for Meta, and on the way; you cross a suspension bridge and reach deserted homes and chorten because Meta is a seasonal village. Then, you will retrace the downhill trekking trail and match the area of the moraine. The river you will be crossing is the Mruja Khola, and the view of the mountains you will see from Meta includes Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal.
Day 24 From Meta to Koto (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
You follow the same trail by which you head to the base camp, but the course is steeper this time. You will once again reach the bottom of the valley. Singing, forest, suspension bridge, and the Seti Khola are what you come to once again before climbing the uphill trail that will take you to Koto.
Day 25 From Koto to Dharapani (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
The trekking trail climbs uphill to take you to the village called Thanchok, where you descend to reach another town called Timing. That is the best village to see the view of Lamjung Himal. Then, the trail descends again in the pine and fir forest to take you to Bagarchap and Dharapani.
Day 26 From Dharapani to Chamje (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
Today, you leave for Chamje, and on the way, you come across a landslide area before crossing the Marsyangdi River. You will also reach a village called Tal. From there, you trek to reach the narrow section of the valley and to Seattle. Finally, following a moderate trekking trail, you get to Chamje.
Day 27 From Chamje to Kathmandu (breakfast and lunch provided, standard accommodation)
As you drive from Chamje to Kathmandu, there are many curves, and you will see what is outside your country, such as terraced farmland. In addition, there is a scenic view of mountains, and the names of these mountains are Annapurna, Manaslu, and Ganesh Himal. Another thing you will not see in your country but here are the activities of the local people. Finally, in the evening, you will reach Kathmandu.
Day 28 Leisure Day in Kathmandu (breakfast provided, standard accommodation)
Take a rest and explore Thamel. This place always has got something for a tourist like you. Every tourist loves this place.
Day 29: Departure
We will pick you up at the hotel three hours before your international flight and take you to Tribhuwan International Airport. So goodbye, and we wish you good luck for a safe journey.
