In the Kanchenjunga Expedition, there are three climbing routes, and each of these is challenging and needs to have fixed rope for the mountaineers heading to the summit. The north-face route is the safest one. Three camps are set up on the north ridge. Kanchenjunga is famous for its final stretch in the Indo-Nepal border and has a vertical rock face of 1000 ft. There is a mixed climb at the beginning of the Kanchenjunga Expedition, followed by a horizontal climb. Kanchenjunga Expedition is a technical expedition over an 8000 m peak in Nepal, and the structure of Kanchenjunga is complex; as you climb the summit, there is a steep slope. Day 01 Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (standard accommodation)
Arrive in Kathmandu on the date that you have planned for or at the most suitable time you have decided. Stay calm about the pick-up; we will wait for you outside the airport to take you to our office and the hotel. Our office remains open from 9 A.M. to 6 P.M. Kathmandu is known as the city of temples, and it is the most developed city in Nepal as we write these words in this itinerary. You will be staying in Thamel, the central tourist hub in Kathmandu. If you stay in a 5-star hotel, it will be outside Thamel.
Day 02 Sightseeing with breakfast and climbing preparations (standard accommodation)
Kathmandu is dotted with world heritage sites, and the most famous of them are mentioned below:

★ Bouddhanath
★ Kathmandu Durbar Square
You will visit each of these with our city guide, and they will take you to the past. Those were the glorious days of Nepal. Day 03 From Kathmandu to Bhadrapur and Ilam (breakfast provided, standard accommodation)
Fly from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur, one of the famous cities of eastern Nepal. From there, you head to Ilam by jeep. Ilam lies on a hill, and the world knows it as one of the famous tea plantation areas of Nepal. It is also renowned for its cheese.
Day 04 From Ilam to Taplejung (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
You drive to Taplejung in private transportation, and on the way, you soak the beauty of the countryside. Phidim is a famous village that you pass through. When you reach Taplejung, you will see lots of Limbu people.
Day 05 From Taplejung to Mitlung (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
Today is the first day of the trek. The trekking trail takes you to the lush forest, beautiful hills, and small villages. Most of these villages have houses made of mud bricks. The course also takes you to the terraced fields and cardamom fields, and then it takes you to the Tamor River. Finally, walking by the side of the river, you head to Mitlung.
Day 06 From Mitlung to Chiruwa (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
You will reach the villages of the Limbu and the Tamang people today, and the names of these villages are Sinwa, Tawa, and Porke. As you walk the trekking trail, you come across debris and boulders. From there, you descend to the Thiwa Khola, a river, and then cross a wooden bridge to reach Chiruwa.
Day 07 From Chiruwa to Sukathum (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
The trekking trail takes you to the famous villages of the Kanchenjunga Region, and every trekker wants to know their names: Taplethok, Tamewa, Hellok, and Lelep. As you head to this village, you walk by the Tamor River and descend to the Simbu Khola, a river. The source of this river lies in the Yalung Glacier. After that, the trekking trail becomes steep, takes you to the Ghuna Khola Valley, and you finally head to Sukathum.
Day 08 From Sukathum to Amjilosa (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
Walk by the Ghunsa Khola and head to Amjilosa. The trekking trail takes you to a steep hill and an open area. Enjoy the stunning view and cross the Ghunsa Khola by the bridge to reach Amjilosa, the village of the Tibetan people.
Day 09 From Amjilosa to Gyabla (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
Today you follow the trekking in the rhododendron and bamboo forest and ascend to Gyabla. On the way, you pass by a giant waterfall. The trekking trail becomes steep while ascending and descending to Gyabla.
Day 10 From Gyabla to Ghunsa (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
There is a beautiful meadow on the way to Ghunsa, one of the Tibetan villages you come across. There are ascending and descending trekking trails and a wooden bridge ahead of you. When you reach Ghunsa, you will see a small hydro plant. It also has a school and a health post.
Day 11 Acclimatization Day (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
You have to acclimatise because you are heading to a higher altitude tomorrow. Acclimatisation does not mean rest; it means hiking to the nearby hill. Ghunsa is an ancient village; its ancient monasteries are the places of interest. Ghunsa is also the perfect place for studying Buddhist culture and tradition.
Day 12 From Ghunsa to Khangpachen (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
In the beginning, you will trek in the forest by the bank of the Ghunsa Khola. As you move ahead, you come across mani walls and chortens. Next, the trekking trail takes you to a steep hill and the glacial moraines; it takes you to Khangpachen, another Tibetan village, and a viewpoint to see the stunning view of Jannu Himal.
Day 13 From Khangpachen to Lhonak (4 meals provided, tented camp)
Walk by the side of the Kanchenjunga Glacier. Then, ascend to the top of the plateau. From there, you head to Lhonak. The panoramic view of Wedge Peak (6802m), Mera Peak (6364m), Nepal Peak (7177m), and Twins (7350m) can be seen from here.
Day 14 From Lhonak to the Kanchenjunga Base Camp (4 meals provided, tented camp)
Today you will head to the Kanchenjunga Base Camp and enjoy the view of the glaciers and the northern ridge. This camp is the best to see the stunning scenery of Kanchenjunga, including other mountains on the borders of Tibet, Nepal, and India.
Day 15 - 43 Climbing of Kanchenjunga and descend to the base camp (4 meals provided, tented camp)
The Sherpas will set up camps at higher altitudes and decide on the climbing route. They will also cook meals for you, and they will also tell you when to acclimatise. The Sherpas undertake to overcome technical difficulties while climbing Kanchenjunga and weather forecasting. When you reach the summit, you will spend a short time there. The summit offers the best view of all 7000 m and 8000 m peaks worldwide. From the summit, you will retrace the climbing route.
Day 44 From the KBC to Ghunsa (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
The Sherpas will pack up the climbing equipment, and you will start your trek from the base camp. You will retrace the trekking trail to Ghunsa, Lhonak and Khangpachen. The good news is that it is downhill trekking, and you will enjoy a leisurely walk.
Day 45 From Ghunsa to the High Camp (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
You trek in the forest of birch, pine, and rhododendron and see the stunning views of Jannu (7710m), Nyukla Laching (6670m), and Temachunggi (6044m). These are the highlights of the High Camp.
Day 46 From the High Camp to Tseram (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
Today you will cross the high passes, and the names of the passes you are eager to know are the Sele La (4480 m) and the Sinion La (4660 m). From the top of these passes, you will see the Glacier, Jannu (7710m), Makalu (8481m), Baruntse (7129m), and Kanchenjunga (8586m) and descend to Tseram.
Day 47 From Tseram to Ramche (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
Walking on the moraines of the Yalung glacier, you head to Ramche. On the way, you come across a lake and meadow. You will also be walking in the ablation valley. You might see blue sheep. Ramche is a small village, and it has a small monastery, which is beautiful.
Day 48 From Ramche to Anda Phedi (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
You retrace the trekking trail to Lapsang, Tseram, and Anda Phedi.
Day 50 From Anda Phedi to Tortong (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
The descending trekking trail takes you to the forest of rhododendrons, streams, chortens, monasteries, ponds, and waterfalls; ultimately, it heads to Tortong.
Day 51 From Tortong to Yamphudim (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
You follow the descending trekking trail to the Amji Khola and cross the Lasiya Bhanjyang (3310 m) and Dhupi Bhanjyang (2620 m). Further, this trail takes you to Yamphudim.
Day 52: From Yamphudim to Khebang (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
Today also, you will follow a downhill trekking trail and reach valleys, waterfalls, and forests. There are also small streams you cross by suspension and wooden bridges. There are also small villages on the way, including the Kabeli Khola, before arriving in Khebang.
Day 53 Trek from Khebang to Khanidingbe (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
All along the trekking trail, you will see the beautiful Kanchenjunga and Jannu Himal views. Finally, you will reach the forest, including waterfalls. From there, you go to Khanidingbe.
Day 54 Drive Khanidingbe to Birtamod (breakfast provided, standard accommodation)
The drive is scenic because you will see the beautiful view of the green hills, snow-capped mountains, and rivers. From the beautiful mountainous Himalayas, you head to the Terai region of Nepal.
Day 55 From Birtamod to Bhadrapur and fly to Kathmandu (breakfast provided, standard accommodation)
Drive to Bhadrapur to fly to Kathmandu.
Day 56 Departure (breakfast provided)
We will pick you up at the hotel three hours before your international flight and take you to Tribhuwan International Airport. So goodbye, and we wish you good luck for a safe journey.
