Ombigaichen Peak climbing, you may have heard this name the first time, whether you are a Nepali or outsider. There are many peaks like this in the Everest Region, and they are called trekking peaks and seem to be underrated when you don’t see their names in the introduction to Everest Base Camp Trek. You can trek up to the base camp of Ombigaichen to do something different that others usually head to the Himalayan Region in Nepal from Jan to May or from August to December for trekking in a familiar route, or you can climb to the summit of Ombigaichen to see the stunning view of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Baruntse, Ama Dablam, etc. From the base camp of Ama Dablam, you will follow the trekking trail that will take you to the base camp of Ombigaichen. This base camp, that is, the base camp of Ama Dablam, is one of the best base camps in Nepal for trekkers in terms of broad and open space and the availability of fresh water. Day 01 Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (standard accommodation)
Arrive in Kathmandu on the date that you have planned for or at the most suitable time you have decided. Stay calm about the pick-up; we will wait for you outside the airport to take you to our office and the hotel. Our office remains open from 9 A.M. to 6 P.M. Kathmandu is known as the city of temples and is the most developed city in Nepal as we write these words in this itinerary. You will be staying in Thamel, the central tourist hub in Kathmandu. If you stay in a 5-star hotel, it will be outside Thamel.
Day 02 Sightseeing with breakfast and climbing preparations (standard accommodation)
Kathmandu is dotted with world heritage sites, and the most famous of them are mentioned below

★ Kathmandu Durbar Square
You will visit each of these with our city guide, and they will take you to the past. Those were the glorious days of Nepal. Day 03 Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and Trek to Phakding (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
A short scenic flight of 35 minutes shows you the bird’s eye view of the mountains. Next, you will probably catch an early flight to Lukla, the starting point of the Everest Trek. From Lukla, you will head to Phakding, one of the Sherpa villages at the edge of the Dudh Kosi River Valley. On the way, you will see the stunning view of the mountain called Kusum Kangaru.
Day 04 From Phakding to Namche Bazaar (four square meals provided, standard accommodation)
Today, you are heading to Monjo, the entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park. The trekking trail takes you to the forest of pine and rhododendrons. Although you will walk through small villages, the famous ones are Tok Tok and Jorsale. Before reaching Namche Bazaar, the largest Sherpa village in Nepal, you will cross the suspension bridge. The trekking trail you will follow goes uphill and makes you tired, but when you reach Namche, you will have enough time to relax.
Day 05 Acclimatization Day (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
As Nepal’s largest Sherpa village, Namche also has exciting places to visit. Everest View Hotel is famous for its unbeatable service and a viewpoint from where you can see the stunning views of the mountains, such as Everest, Thamserku, Kongdi RI, and Ama Dablam. In addition, the Sherpa Culture Museum, Syangboche Airstrip, and Everest Photo Gallery are on the list you want to visit.
Day 05 From Namche to Tengboche (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
If Namche is the largest Sherpa village in Nepal, you can say that Tengboche is the best spiritual place for Buddhists, including non-Buddhists. Its monastery is famous all over Nepal. Your trek will be incomplete if you do not visit this monastery. To reach Tengboche, you must walk uphill in the forest, where small villages and pastures exist. As you walk the trekking trail, the view of the mountains keeps on coming to your eyes, especially that of Ama Dablam. In addition, you will also see the exceptional view of Everest that will trace to your mind.
Day 06 From Tengboche to Mt. Ama Dablam Base Camp (4 meals provided, tented camp)
Today also, you are walking in the rhododendron forest and coming across mani walls. The main village that you reach is Deboche. From there, you head to Minlinggo. Walking uphill, you will see the stunning view of Ama Dablam. After walking a steep trekking trail, you will reach the base camp of Ama Dablam.
Day 07 From Ama Dablam Base Camp to Ombigaichan Base Camp (4 meals provided, tented camp)
Ombigaichen Base Camp lies at an elevation of 5200 m.
Day 08-13 Climbing of Ombigaichan and return to the base camp (4 meals provided, tented camp)
Before climbing the mountain, the Sherpas will perform a puja. Then, the Sherpas will set up camps at higher altitudes and decide on the climbing route. They will also cook meals for you, and they will also tell you when to acclimatise. The Sherpas undertake to overcome technical difficulties while climbing Ombigaichan and weather forecasting. From the summit, you will retrace the climbing route.
Day 14 From Ombigaichan Base Camp to Tengboche (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
Retrace the trekking trail.
Day 15 From Namche to Lukla (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
As you head to Lukla, you will again see the colourful Buddhist prayer flags and come across chortens, mani walls, and gompas. Crossing the suspension bridges over the glaciated Dudh Kosi River reminds you of the beginning of your Everest journey. Finally, from Cheplung, you will head to Lukla.
Day 16 Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu (breakfast provided, standard accommodation)
Once again, it is time to enjoy the mountain aerial view from a plane's window. After landing at the Kathmandu airport, you will be taken to our office or the hotel.
Day 17 Rest Day in Kathmandu (breakfast provided, standard accommodation)
Visit the exciting places in Thamel, and buy souvenirs for your friends and relatives. We have included this day in your itinerary if your Kathmandu flight gets cancelled due to bad weather in Lukla.
Day 18 Departure (breakfast provided)
We will pick you up at the hotel three hours before your international flight and take you to Tribhuwan International Airport. So goodbye, and we wish you good luck for a safe journey.
