During the Pokalde Peak Climbing, you will climb higher until you reach the summit of 5800 m plus. On the climbing route, there are rocky and steep terrains. But you will be worth trekking and climbing because, from the top, you will see the fantastic view of the mountains of the Everest Region by moving your head and eyes in all directions. This is a big reward for a trekker who has become a climber while climbing Pokalde. The trekking trail to the base camp of Pokalde is neither that challenging nor that easy, but under the category of the Nepalese Trekking Standard, it is a challenging trek for foreigners. But the trekkers have learned to accept the universal fact that Trekking and Climbing are not the Bed of Roses.
Pokalde Peak Expedition, or Pokalde Peak Climbing, is famous among trekkers because this expedition takes place on the mountain, which is located above the Khumbu Glacier and near the Lobuche Mountain. Pokalde is a non-technical peak, so you do not need to use crampons and ice axes during ascent, but you must have physical fitness, including stamina and endurance, to reach the summit. The itinerary of the Everest Base Camp Trek matches the itinerary of the Pokalde Peak Climbing so that you will have both the trek of your life and the adventure journey of your lifetime in the remote corner of Nepal. So, what you do is entirely different from what others have come to do in Nepal during their vacation. The main features of Pokalde Peak Climbing are:
★ The best viewpoint in the Everest Region to see the world’s tallest mountain
★ The summit of 5800 m plus
★ Beautiful ridge of the snow-covered mountains

Day 03 Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and Trek to Phakding (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
A short scenic flight of 35 minutes shows you the bird’s eye view of the mountains. Next, you will probably catch an early flight to Lukla, the starting point of the Everest Trek. From Lukla, you will head to Phakding, one of the Sherpa villages at the edge of the Dudh Kosi River Valley. On the way, you will see the stunning view of the mountain called Kusum Kangaru.
Day 04 From Phakding to Namche Bazaar (four square meals provided, standard accommodation)
Today, you are heading to Monjo, the entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park. The trekking trail takes you to the forest of pine and rhododendrons. Although you will walk through small villages, the famous ones are Tok Tok and Jorsale. Before reaching Namche Bazaar, the largest Sherpa village in Nepal, you will cross the suspension bridge. The trekking trail you will follow goes uphill and makes you tired, but when you reach Namche, you will have enough time to relax.
Day 05 Acclimatization Day (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
As Nepal’s largest Sherpa village, Namche also has exciting places to visit. Its Everest View Hotel is not only famous for unbeatable service but also for a viewpoint from where you can see stunning views of the mountains, such as Everest, Thamserku, Kongdi RI, and Ama Dablam. In addition, the Sherpa Culture Museum, Syangboche Airstrip, and Everest Photo Gallery are on the list you want to visit.
Day 06 From Namche to Tengboche (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
If Namche is the largest Sherpa village in Nepal, then Tengboche is the best spiritual place for Buddhists, including non-Buddhists. Its monastery is famous all over Nepal. Your trek will be incomplete if you do not visit this monastery. To reach Tengboche, you must walk uphill in the forest with small villages and pastures. As you walk the trekking trail, the view of the mountains keeps on coming to your eyes, especially that of Ama Dablam. In addition, you will also see the exceptional view of Everest that will trace to your mind.
Day 07 From Tengboche to Dingboche (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
As you trek from Tengboche to Dingboche, you will come across suspension bridges, not two, but many. Many small Sherpa villages are on the way, and the famous ones are Pangboche and Orsho. The trekking trail passes by mani walls, and colourful prayer flags flutter in the Himalayan breeze. As you reach Dingboche, you will enjoy the lovely view of Everest.
Day 08 Acclimatization Day (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
During acclimatisation in Namche, you visited its exciting places. You can do the same in Dingboche by hiking up Nagarjun Hill. You are heading to the higher altitudes, and you will notice changes in the geographical features as you come across the snowy region and shrub plants. Still, the view of the mountains, such as Lingtern, Pumori, and Khumbutse, will blow your mind. The villages you come across are small and have fewer villagers. Compared to Dingboche, Lobuche is small, and Lobuche Peak is famous worldwide. This is the only village where you spend your night by peak.
Day 10 From Lobuche to Gorakshep and Everest Base Camp (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
Today, you are heading to the base of Everest you have always dreamt of. But first, you have to reach Gorakshep, which used to be the base camp for Everest climbers. You can call this village the last Everest Base Camp Trek village. As you head to the base camp, you will walk by the Khumbu Glacier. When you reach there, you will see the Khumbu Icefall. Unfortunately, no tea houses are on the base camp; therefore, you must return to Gorakshep to spend the night.
Day 11 From Gorakshep to Kala Patthar and Lobuche (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
Before dawn, you begin to trek from Gorakshep to Kalapathar, a perfect viewpoint to see the view of the mountains that will stay permanently with you. The sunrise on Everest Peak is so alluring that you want to capture it with your camera. Unfortunately, it is an uphill walk to Kalapathar, which is exhausting.
Day 12 From Lobuche to the Pokalde Base Camp via the Kongma-La Pass (4 meals provided, tented camp)
The trekking trail you will follow goes downhill, and it is steep and rocky. First, you will reach the Kongma La Pass. Then, following another downhill trekking trail, you will get to the Pokalde Base Camp.
Day 13 From the Pokalde Base Camp to the High Camp Pass (4 meals provided, tented camp)
As you head to the High Camp, there are rocks that you will come across. These rocks are loose, and you know this as you walk upon them. At this time, you will see the beautiful views of Mt Nuptse (7,861 m), Mt. Lhotse (8,414 m), and Mt. Makalu (8,463 m). From the High Camp, you will see the edge of Pokalde Peak.
Day 14 From the summit of Pokalde Peak to Chhukung (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
Today is a tough day in terms of climbing, but it is also beautiful in terms of view. To reach the summit of Pokalda Peak, you start climbing before dawn. The climbing route is rocky from the High Camp to the forum, from where you will see the panoramic view of Mt. Makalu (8,481 m), Mt. Pumori (7,165 m) and Mt. Ama Dablam (6,856 m).
Day 15 From Chhukung to Tengboche (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
The trekking trail is more accessible than the trekking trail from Pokalde Peak to Chhukung. On the way, there are pine trees and the Imja River. You will be coming across some important Sherpa villages like Pheriche and Pangboche. From these villages, you will see the breathtaking view of the snow-covered mountains. Finally, you will walk downhill to reach Tengboche.
Day 16 From Tengboche to Monjo (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)

Day 17 From Monjo to Lukla (4 meals provided, standard accommodation)
Today you head to Lukla, the starting point of the Everest Base Camp Trek. The trekking trail goes by the Dudh Kosi River most of the time. It is an easy walk.
