Call it Upper Mustang Trek or the Upper Mustang Trekking; both mean the same thing, and each takes place in the same place in Nepal that the trekkers like to see, walk, and visit during their trekking in Nepal. The best part of this trek is that it takes you to the hidden valley of Nepal between dry Tibet and the snow-covered Himalayas. This landscape is entirely different from the rest of Nepal regarding unexpected beauty. The culture and traditions of the Upper Mustang Region are as old as the hills and might surprise the trekkers coming from the developed countries of the world, who practice new cultures as they like or change according to time. The region is also the land of myths and legends; you hear all these from your trekking guides.
If you want to see Nepal's unique culture, we believe you should go for the Upper Mustang Trekking, where you see the sky burial of the dead and polyandry that is only followed and practised in this part of Nepal. The main highlights of the Upper Mustang Trek are:
★ Arid Valleys
★ Eroded canyons
★ The majestic view of the Himalayan Ranges
Among all of the villages you come across during the Upper Mustang Trek, Lo Manthang has many attractions because it has a palace, monasteries, and some modernity.
